Marco Polo Sheep hunt in Kyrgyzstan

Our own hunt area!

The middle size pf Marco Polo horns in Kyrgyzstan - 125 cm. But early hunter's shoots down animals with horns size till 150 cm. In 2001 year hunter from Ukrain shoots down in Kyrgyzstan Marco Polo with horn size - 171 cm.

Hunting area: Issyk - Kul region; Naryn region; at 3500-4500 metres above the sea level.

Hunting season: January 01 to March 01 and August 15 to November 20 ( the best time October - November)

Accommodation: hunting house with bathhouse, yurts with heating.

Number of people in a group: 1 - 4 hunters; non-hunters can also participate in a hunting tour.

HUNT SHEDULE:

Day 1:            Arrival at Manas airport, Bishkek. Transfer (by car) to a base hunting camp, it takes approx. 10-12 hours, accommodation, rifles shoot;

Day 2-10:      9 days hunt.

Day 11:          Transfer to Bishkek, overnight in a hotel.

Day 12:          Transfer to Manas (30km), Bishkek. Departure.

Cost of Hunting Tour includes:

You can take all trophies home with you. After hunting tour you will be provided with all required documents for trophies export.

After success on Marco Polo you will be able to hunt Siberian Ibex,Yak,Siberian Roe Deer.

Additional information for Kyrgyzstan hunting program

Kyrgyzstan is mountain country. In north and in an average part - Tian-Shan mountain ridges, in the south - Pamir-Alay mountain ridges, covered by eternal snows and rising up to height of 7 thousand meters. 90% of the Kyrgyzstan area is 1500m above sea level.

Animal and the flora of Kyrgyzstan are various. Here are over three and a half of thousand kinds of plants, 178 kinds of animals, about 28 kinds of reptiles, about 100 kinds of fishes, about 300 kinds of birds.

High mountains are empire of unique animals. Only here it is possible to meet snow leopard, tian-Shan brown bear, mountain wolf, Siberian Ibex and certainly Marco Polo argali, among birds - vulture, the scope of which wings raches more than three meters, Himalayan snow cock ( it calls also mountain turkey), stone partridge (keklik) and true friend of the classical Kirghiz hunters - golden eagle.

Hunting methods   

In the morining you eat hot breakfast and load on to your horse or into jeep, depending on the upper edges of the mountains, glassing the hillsides and animals feeding areas. Once the trophy os located you complete your stalk on foot. A long range shooting, up to 150-300 m is normal for Marco Polo Sheep hunting. Fly camps are usable if necessary.

Climate

Temperature in September: +15-18°C day-time, +5-0°C night-time; October, November:            -5-10°C day-time, -15-20°C at nights.

You get hot 2 meal 2 times per day (breakfast and dinner). For lunch in the field we offer you sandwiches, fruit and hot tea.
